A tragic incident unfolded in the Hamilton Heights area of Harlem as a two-alarm fire engulfed a six-story apartment building at 2 St. Nicholas Place. The blaze, which began on the third floor, quickly spread to the upper levels, resulting in one fatality and at least 17 injuries. Emergency responders from the Fire Department swiftly arrived at the scene following a distress call at 2:14 p.m.
