Residents in New Jersey are eagerly searching for answers regarding recent sightings in the sky, but officials have yet to provide clear explanations.
Following Thanksgiving, Susan and Lorelai Woodruff witnessed around 10 brightly lit objects maneuvering swiftly in the night sky above their residence in Elsinboro, located in southern New Jersey. Subsequently, the objects have been appearing every night, emitting a peculiar humming sound and flashing red, green, and white lights. Lorelai Woodruff, aged 52, expressed her feelings of invasion, stating, “I think it’s like an invasion. I feel like our privacy is kind of invaded.” A month after the initial reports of these mysterious flying objects emerged, investigations by various governmental bodies at the federal, state, and local levels are still ongoing to determine the nature and origin of these sightings. Many residents, including the Woodruffs, suspect that the objects are drones and are dissatisfied with the lack of concrete answers from authorities. Emily Ferguson, aged 49, shared that the sightings near her home in Mendham, located in northern New Jersey, have become a topic of discussion in the community. She mentioned that her three children have started asking questions about the phenomenon that she is unable to answer. “The kids are all asking, ‘What’s going on?’ and ‘Why do we have to close all of our blinds?’ which is something we never do,” Ms. Ferguson remarked.
