With over a decade of experience in cultivating donor relationships, she joins from Mother Jones/The Center for Investigative Reporting, where she served as the Deputy Director of Development. At her previous role, she successfully secured funding for the merger of Mother Jones and The Center for Investigative Reporting, demonstrating her expertise in fundraising and sustaining quality journalism.
In her new role, Eisenstaedt aims to contribute to the growth of THE CITY and ensure it remains a valuable resource for all New Yorkers. With the increasing need for local reporting, she recognizes the importance of diverse funding sources, including philanthropy, reader support, and earned revenue, in sustaining news organizations. THE CITY’s Executive Director, Nic Dawes, expressed his excitement about Eisenstaedt joining the leadership team, highlighting her experience and dedication to the role.
