A former music teacher at a Bronx middle school has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually abusing five female students. Jesus Concepcion, 51, pleaded guilty to coercing the girls, aged approximately 12 to 16 at the time, into having sex in various locations over seven years. The crimes included enticing a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity. The sentencing took place in a Manhattan federal courtroom, with four victims and their relatives present. The victims tearfully recounted the abuse they endured, with one expressing a desire for capital punishment for Concepcion. The former teacher offered a brief apology in court, acknowledging the harm he caused and expressing remorse.
