New York Police Department releases images in manhunt for UnitedHealthcare CEO’s shooter.
The Police Department has recently released two new images of the suspect believed to have fatally shot the CEO of UnitedHealthcare. The images were made public as part of the ongoing investigation into the killing of Brian Thompson outside the New York Hilton Midtown hotel. One image shows the suspect in the back seat of a taxi wearing a blue surgical mask, a dark hat, and a black hood. The other image captures the suspect walking on the street with the same mask and attire.
It is believed that the suspect caught a taxi shortly after the shooting and traveled uptown to a bus terminal near the George Washington Bridge, potentially leaving the state. Despite a widespread manhunt and national attention, the suspect remains at large, prompting the police to appeal for information on his identity and motive for the crime.
Law enforcement officials are meticulously reviewing surveillance footage from various locations in the city to trace the suspect’s movements on the day of the shooting. Bullet casings found at the crime scene were inscribed with the words “depose,” “deny,” and “delay,” possibly alluding to insurance-related terms. Additionally, a backpack discovered in Central Park is believed to have been discarded by the suspect as he fled towards the Upper West Side before taking the taxi. The contents of the backpack and its relevance to the investigation have not been disclosed.
The release of these images and the ongoing investigation underscore the urgency of apprehending the suspect responsible for the tragic death of Brian Thompson. The police are urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist in identifying and locating the perpetrator.
